Chance Encounter Part One
Alright, First things first, I chickened out posting the story I originally intended to. To be honest, I wasn't sure If it would be a wise decision to post this on a blog of mine that seems to be attracting more attention all of a sudden. I do still intend to post a Short Story for my 48th post, so below you will still get to read one of my stories. One that I wouldn't mind people finding accidentally on my laptop. Now, someday I may work up the courage to post this original story on this blog, I'm not sure. Without further ado, I present to you part 1 of a short story I'm working on:
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
I was just strolling through the park when I saw her. Sitting alone on a bench not too far from where I stood, her features were more elegant than I had last seen her. She had the slim, lightly curved figure of a Greek Goddess, complimented by her tight jeans, ebony long-sleeved shirt, and dark brown boots. Her face was pale, no makeup, she didn't need any. Radiant orange her draped her face and barely reached past her shoulder blades. Her eyes glowed a vibrant emerald that could stop anyone in mid-conversation.
I don't how It happened or why, but I walked up to her.
"Emma?" I asked automatically
Emma looked up her piercing emerald eyes looking right at me, no through me. Trying to piece together where she recognized me from. her eyebrows furrowed in frustration.
"You probably don't remember me but we knew each other a long time ago, my name's Jayden Penn."
A fond smile graced her toothsome lips.
"Jayden! I can't believe I didn't recognize you!" Emma exclaimed, trapping me in her friendly embrace. "How have you been?"
"Good, not too boring, not that exciting." I replied. "What about you, last I heard you moved out of state with your folks?"
"Just visiting, I came to stay with my Aunt for a couple weeks. I came to the park to take a trip down memory lane. Looks like it worked."
I smiled, "Listen, I'm free all afternoon. Care to join me for a cup of coffee?"
She grinned, allowing me to see her perfect pearl teeth. "I'd love too"
