The majority of this entry is driven by my lack of entertainment at minding the radio station while I wait for my show hour to come up as well as waiting for my iPod to finish installing a new software update. So what's with the funny words in my title? Well funny story, I was tweeting off of my iPod (Using the awesome Echofon app) when the I accidentally typed 'likew' and the spellcheck assumed I intended to type likewise. I came to lament over twitter about how no one uses likewise anymore, when the awesome David Ault (@astrotour2010) replied with the following tweet:

the word 'whilst'. I've been sniggered at in America as a result.To which I replied that he and I should bring back the word likewise into everyday language. David Ault replied with a tweet saying we should incorporate the words 'Sozzled' and 'Wonky' and I happilly oblige by creating a blog entry where I shall tell you to start incorporating these words and many other obscure fancy sounding words into your everyday speech. Why? Because having a broad vocabulary is always a good thing, it prevents you from sounding repatative and being reduced to saying hahahaha and lol over and over again. Likewise, these rarely used words need some verbal love too!
So basically, tomorrow morning, crack open your dictionary then get out there and start throwing around fancy words and watch people's quizzical reactions (confusing people is always fun!)
As for the bike fail, I was on my way to Phipps Ranch in Pescadero, to speak to the owner on official KPDO radio business (insert girlish squee here) when I was trying to fish the earphones out of my pocket, still pedaling. at the same time, 5 bucks were getting pulled out of there by the earphones, I saw the money flying behind me, slammed the handbrake and was sent tumbling onto my left side into the middle of the road.
Luckily, there were no cars, so I wasn't run over and unable to blog about this. I was on my left side but my hands both hit the pavement and skidded. yup, the scraped against the hot scratchy pavement. I have a band-aid on one hand (left) which was the more scraped up one. Both hands still burn occasionally. I did not mention that the bike was still between my legs when I fell, so I had a bike on my left leg with my right keeping me from sliding out. Of course I got out from under (and over) the bike. making sure there were no cars coming to finish me off. I parked the bike on the bike lane, picked up my tangled headphones as well as the 5 bucks that started all this. I set sail for home to raid the med kit in my kitchen, and yes I said kitchen, don't ask me why It's there. once I used a soda can to sooth the burning sensation in my hands, I once more (with feeling) took off to Phipps Ranch.
For your information, mission was accomplished.
